Food Scraps

As part of a Montgomery County-sponsored pilot, Compost Cab will accept food scraps 
from our customers. Look for their tent in the rear of the Market.
You may drop off:
  •  Fruit and Vegetable scraps
  • Cooked Food
  • Meat, fish bones
  • Dairy (cheese and yogurt)
  • Eggshells
  • Bread & Grains
  • Coffee Grounds & Tea Leaves (remove all filters)

Olney Rotary Club

T​hey’ll be collecting used sports gear and musical instruments.  Donations support MCPL & Leveling the Playing Field.

JUNE 23RD:   BECOME AN APPRENTICE TO A VENDOR
This is the day your child can shadow one of our farmers, food vendors, jewelers or crafters for an hour, from 9:30am to 10:30am. They’ll learn all about the industry; how to set up a successful booth;  and what it takes to grow a business. This will help prepare them for KIDS IN BIZ DAY ON JUNE 30TH.
AMONG THE VENDORS OFFERING APPRENTICESHIPS:  MacBride & Gill Falcon Ridge Farm, Fairy Greens Lavender Farm, Common Root Farm, Coops Soups, Tee Cee’s Boutique, El Jefe Cocina (1 at a time) Ella’s Bake Shop, Lisa’s Little Traveling BookShop and Mid Atlantic Screen Printing.  To request an apprenticeship, contact Tracy Clare at [email protected]

JUNE 30TH:  KIDS IN BIZ DAY (We are full)
SCHEDULE:  9:30am   Check in at the Info booth (near the Thrift shop, on the Prince Philip side)
                      10am  Selling begins
                      11:30am  Break for lunch
                      12:30pm  Selling ends
Children need to bring a small table and chair, signage and a water bottle. We’ll provide tents and lunch.
ATTENTION VENDORS!   NO DRIVING ON THE GRASS UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. This is due to the major landscaping taking place.  We are sorry for the inconvenience.
