WELCOME NEW SPRING VENDORS!  Green Plate Co (plant-based, including falafel) and True Standard Distilling Company (woman-owned), Dumpling 88 (dim sum and all things dumplings). 

SAYING GOODBYE!  We’re so sad to hear Marti Andress, our longtime jeweler and artist, is moving away.  We wish her the very best, as she begins a new chapter in Vermont.

SPRINGTIME EVENTS:  It’s likely to be the hottest springtime event in town, and this year, it’s part of Olney Days.  The Market hosts its first ever Potato Day on Sunday, April 26th.  For children, look for hot potato games and potato sack races.  For adults, we’ll have cooking competitions for vendors and the community.  The event will be emceed by the one and only James Riciutti.

Other events include a Strawberry Tasting and chef’s demo; a Peach Festival, a Mushroom demo, a Pie Competition, a Brownie competition and 2 Kids in Biz days.

MAY 10TH:  GRAND REOPENING OF OUR SPRING SEASON.  It’ll be a special day for Moms.  Snap up one of our Red Envelopes at the Info booth before Mother’s Day.  The cost is just $20, a donation to our non-profit.  Don’t open the envelope until you return to the Market on Mother’s Day.  Then, look for a manager to unlock your Mom’s special surprise gift.  Gifts range from fabulous handmade jewelry and pottery to gift cards, all worth more than $20.  Special thanks to Nancy Wert for organizing the event.

ATTENTION VENDORS!  APPLICATIONS ARE ONLINE AT OLNEYFARMERSMARKET.COM. DON'T DELAY!  WE ALREADY HAVE A WAITING LIST.

VENDOR ALERT!   A reminder that all vendors are required to have weights of at least 25 lbs per leg, no exceptions!  In the event of strong winds, you will be asked to take down your tent.  This is for everyone’s safety.  Anyone who refuses to comply will be subject to termination.  We just can’t take any chances.  Thank you.

SNAP:  Yes, we take SNAP!    Come to the Info booth and ask for Charles this Sunday for information.

ADVERTISING:  Starting next month, we’ll be accepting a limited amount of advertising for our newsletter from vendors and local businesses, with special rates for non-profits. For more information, email [email protected]

FOOD SCRAPS:  As part of a Montgomery County-sponsored pilot, Compost Cab will accept food scraps 
from our customers. Look for their tent in the rear of the Market. You may drop off:

• Fruit and Vegetable scraps
• Cooked Food
• Meat, fish bones
• Dairy (cheese and yogurt)
• Eggshells
• Bread & Grains
• Coffee Grounds & Tea Leaves (remove all filters)

PARKING IS ALWAYS FREE! (For Winter, vendors may leave at 1 instead of 1:10) There are 2 main lots, one outside the professional buildings on 108; the other opposite the Thrift Shop on Prince Philip.

DONATIONS WELCOME!   Please consider a donation to our 501-C-3, Friends of the Olney Farmers Market.  The Market provides vouchers for fresh produce to those in need.  This season, we’ve given out more vouchers than ever before. It would be great to replenish our fund.  We also need funds to support our music program and our children's tent.
