SPRINGTIME EVENTS: The Market will host it first ever Potato Day on Sunday, April 26th. This is in conjunction with Olney Days. Plans are in the works for potato sack races and cooking competitions for vendors and the community. The event will be emceed by the one and only James Riciutti. Other events include a Strawberry Tasting and chef’s demo, a Peach Festival, a Pie Competition and 2 Kids in Biz days. Our live music starts Mother’s Day. MAY 10TH: GRAND REOPENING OF OUR SPRING SEASON. Snap up one of our Red Envelopes at the Info booth before Mother’s Day. The cost is just $20, a donation to our non-profit. Don’t open the envelope until you return to the Market on Mother’s Day. Then, look for a manager to unlock your special surprise gift. Gifts range from fabulous handmade jewelry and pottery to gift cards, all worth more than $20. Special thanks to Nancy Wert for organizing the event. ATTENTION VENDORS: Get your application in now, if you’re interested in being a vendor for Spring/summer. Applications are now online at olneyfarmersmarket.com Don’t delay. We already have a waiting list in several categories. VENDOR ALERT! A reminder that all vendors are required to have weights of at least 25 lbs per leg, no exceptions! In the event of strong winds, you will be asked to take down your tent. This is for everyone’s safety. Anyone who refuses to comply will be subject to termination. We just can’t take any chances. This season, we’ve given out more vouchers than ever before. It would be great to replenish our fund. We also need funds to support our music program and our children's tent.
