ATTENTION VENDORS!  Winter Applications are now online at olneyfarmersmarket.com. The new season starts the second Sunday in November.  Also, a SAFETY REMINDER: vendors must NOT move their vehicles until 1:10pm.  This is so we can safely clear out children first.  In an emergency, come to the Info booth.


SPECIAL EVENTS THIS SUNDAY: The Olney Fun Run and Walk! Meet at the Market SUNDAY MORNINGS, and get ready for some exercise.  For more info, go to goca.org    The Market will provide a reception tent on the grassy middle.

The LET’S BEAT BREAST CANCER RALLY 2025 runs from Noon to 1:00 p.m. Teams from 3 local High School Drum Lines will be there. Join us to learn more about breast cancer prevention.  You don’t want to miss this musical and educational event.

HOLD THE DATES!

OCTOBER 26:  
  • CHESS TOURNAMENT for all ages.  Starts at 10AM;  Grand prize is $50.  If you can loan us a chess set for the day, please email [email protected]. Look for Will or Ava at the Info tent or on the grass to sign up.
  • IT’S OLNEY TIME!    Head straight to the grassy Market middle, if you’re looking for volunteer opportunities.  About 15 non-profits that help make our community tick will be on site.  There will be raffles and refreshments.  
  • Green Olney (GO) will be doing a Terracycle Collection on the 26th at It's Olney Time.  Bring the following items to donate:
    • Oral care products: old toothpaste tubes, dental floss containers, old toothbrushes
    • Britta Filters
    • Old Socks
    • Old pens, magic markers, old mechanical pencils

  • BREAKFAST WITH A COP:  Here’s your chance to meet one on one with some of the Montgomery County police officers in charge of protecting our community.  Enjoy a cup of coffee on us!

AT THE INFO BOOTH:  This is where you can find out about vendor opportunities. You can also get info about SNAP benefits.  Just ask for Charles.  We’re also collecting donations to help feed the hungry and help federal workers in need.
Plus, we’re raising money so we can keep you warm this winter in an Amish shed. Thanks for anything you can do!

                 
A REMINDER TO VENDORS AND CUSTOMERS:  OUR SMALL DUMPSTER IN THE REAR IS FOR MARKET TRASH ONLY.  SORRY, BUT WE DON’T HAVE THE CAPACITY TO HANDLE ANYTHING MORE.      

 FOOD SCRAPS:   As part of a Montgomery County-sponsored pilot, Compost Cab will accept food scraps 
from our customers.  
Look for their tent in the rear of the Market. You may drop off:
  • Fruit and Vegetable scraps
  • Cooked Food
  • Meat, fish bones
  • Dairy (cheese and yogurt)
  • Eggshells
  • Bread & Grains
  • Coffee Grounds & Tea Leaves (remove all filters)

PARKING IS ALWAYS FREE! There are 2 main lots, one outside the professional buildings on 108; the other opposite the Thrift Shop on Prince Philip.

DONATIONS WELCOME!   Please consider a donation to our 501-C-3, Friends of the Olney Farmers Market.  The Market provides vouchers for fresh produce to those in need.  This season, we’ve given out more vouchers than ever before. It would be great to replenish our fund.  We also need funds to support our music program and our children's tent. Checks can be mailed to PO Box 1787, Olney, MD 20830. We also accept donations at our Info tent.
