IT’S OLNEY TIME!  HEAD STRAIGHT TO THE MARKET GREEN WHEN YOU ARRIVE!  WE’RE CELEBRATING GROUPS THAT GO THE EXTRA MILE TO MAKE OUR COMMUNITY A BETTER PLACE.   ALSO, THE RETURN OF THE TRAVELLING BOOK SHOP!   AND ELLA’S BAKE SHOP, FEATURING ONE OF A KIND, DELICIOUS BAKED GOODS IS BACK! THOSE ARE SOME OF THE HIGHLIGHTS! NOW, HERE ARE DETAILS.

THE REVIEWS ARE IN!  Special thanks to Neil Rubenstein (All Earth Desserts) and his amazing crew for their hard work producing our first ever Night Market and Movie Night.  Also, thanks to our volunteers, including Mickey Denis, Tracy Clare, Hal Hoiland, Nadine Mort and Audra Amerson. We hear the evening was a resounding success!   

ATTENTION VENDORS!  Winter Applications are now online at olneyfarmersmarket.com.  The new season starts the second Sunday in November.  Also, a SAFETY REMINDER: vendors must NOT move their vehicles until 1:10pm.  This is so we can safely clear out children first.  In an emergency, come to the Info booth.

SPECIAL EVENTS THIS SUNDAY:
The Olney Fun Run and Walk! Meet at the Market SUNDAY MORNINGS, and get ready for some exercise.  For more info, go to 
goca.org    The Market will provide a reception tent on the grassy middle.
CHABAD:  They’ll be offering more than just challah for Sukkot.  Plans are in the works for a mobil Sukkoh.


HOLD THE DATES!  OCTOBER 19: The Let’s Beat Breast Cancer Rally 2025 runs from Noon to 1:00 p.m. Teams from 3 local High School Drum Lines will be there. Join us to learn more about breast cancer prevention.  You don’t want to miss this musical and educational event.
OCTOBER 26:  Chess Tournament for all ages. Starts at 10AM; Grand prize is $50.  If you can loan us a chess set for the day, please email [email protected].
Look for Will or Ava at the Info tent or on the grass to sign up.

AT THE INFO BOOTH: This is where to get info about SNAP benefits.  This Sunday, ask for Chris for help. We also have a Manna donations jar to help feed the hungry.  And our new Olney Farmers and Artists Market tote bags are just $10.  The funds support our 501-C-3, Friends of the Olney Farmers Market. 
HELPING FEDERAL WORKERS:  We’re also collecting donations for federal workers at the Info booth. 
        
A REMINDER TO VENDORS AND CUSTOMERS:  OUR SMALL DUMPSTER IN THE REAR IS FOR MARKET TRASH ONLY.  SORRY, BUT WE DON’T HAVE THE CAPACITY TO HANDLE ANYTHING MORE.      

 FOOD SCRAPS:   
 As part of a Montgomery County-sponsored pilot, 
Compost Cab will accept food scraps 
from our customers.
 Look for their tent in the rear of the Market. You may drop off:
  • Fruit and Vegetable scraps
  • Cooked Food
  • Meat, fish bones
  • Dairy (cheese and yogurt)
  • Eggshells
  • Bread & Grains
  • Coffee Grounds & Tea Leaves (remove all filters)

PARKING IS ALWAYS FREE! There are 2 main lots, one outside the professional buildings on 108; the other opposite the Thrift Shop on Prince Philip.
NO PETS PLEASE!

DONATIONS WELCOME!   Please consider a donation to our 501-C-3, Friends of the Olney Farmers Market.  The Market provides vouchers for fresh produce to those in need.  This season, we’ve given out more vouchers than ever before. It would be great to replenish our fund.  We also need funds to support our music program and our children's tent.
Checks can be mailed to PO Box 1787, Olney, MD 20830. We also accept donations at our Info tent.
