Emily will be selling small-batch pantry blends that can be paired with fresh meats and seasonal produce. Yoga! Join us at The Olney Farmers Market each Sunday at 10am for community yoga! This is an all levels class adaptable for every body and all levels. We will be in front of the Thrift Shop in the wide open field. All are welcome and class is free as sponsored by Medstar Health! Come get your veggies, do your yoga, & see your community! Please bring your own mat or beach towel. Please be courteous and only sign up to hold the spot if you know you can be there. Come to the Info booth on the Market Green, and cast your vote. The winner gets a $100. gas card. Our food vendors will also be cooking up amazing strawberry-inspired dishes. Judges Allison Weiss, her daughter Fabiola, and Katherine Farquhar will have the final say. Allison says strawberries have been Fabiola’s favorite food, ever since she could talk. In fact, she used to call them squasberries! Crafters are also getting in on the action. From pickle sandwiches to pickle smoothies to pickles on a stick, plus a free pickling class, we’ll have it all on June 7th. Rain date is June 21st. Our own Phil’s Dills will be participating, and to spice it up, we’ve invited some pop up vendors we met at the giant Boonsboro Pickle festival. Come dressed for the occasion! Television personality, Dr. Alex Naini, will be emcee. A full list of vendors will be on our website soon. JUNE 14TH: SPRING KIDS IN BIZ DAY Please note: we are now full! This is the day children can become vendors for a day. It’s a chance for them to learn about good customer service and to count change. All items must be handmade or homemade under adult supervision. Bring a small table and chair and a tent and weights, if you have them. A Market lunch will be provided. Meet at the Info booth on the Market Green at 9:15am. Set up is at 9:30am; selling starts at 10am; lunch at 11:15am. Selling ends at 12:30pm. Donations are welcome! JUNE 26TH: NIGHT MARKET AND MOVIE NIGHT Details coming soon. VENDOR ALERT! A reminder that all vendors are required to have weights of at least 25 lbs per leg, no exceptions! In the event of strong winds, you will be asked to take down your tent. This is for everyone’s safety. Anyone who refuses to comply will be subject to termination. We just can’t take any chances. Thank you. PARKING IS ALWAYS FREE! Vendors are asked to stay until 1:10pm. There are 2 main lots, one outside the professional buildings on 108; the other opposite the Thrift Shop on Prince Philip. NO PETS PLEASE! DONATIONS WELCOME! Please consider a donation to our 501-C-3, Friends of the Olney Farmers Market. The Market provides vouchers for fresh produce to those in need. This season, we’ve given out more vouchers than ever before. It would be great to replenish our fund. We also need funds to support our music program and our children's tent.
