COOLING AND HEATING AT THE MARKET?  With your help, our dream of providing AC in the summer and heat in the winter, inside a beautiful Amish shed, could soon be a reality. MARK YOUR CALENDAR!   

September 7:  BREAKFAST WITH A COP. This is your chance to have coffee and pastries with our neighborhood police officers in a friendly setting.  Coffee and pastries are on us, until we run out.

Also September 7:  The Olney Fun Run and Walk! Meet at the Market at 11am.  For more info, go to goca.org    The Market will have a reception tent on the grassy middle.
SEPTEMBER 21: KID IN BIZ DAY. This is the day children learn to become entrepreneurs.  All items sold must be handmade or homemade under adult supervision.  Selling starts at 10AM and ends at 12:30.  Market will provide lunch. To sign up, email [email protected]
SEPTEMBER 28: APPLE PIE COMPETITION   We welcome Council member Dawn Luedtke as one of our judges.  Our own James Ricciuti will emcee.  Drop off your homemade apple pies at 10:30 at the Chef’s tent. 

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 3:  Our First Ever NIGHT MARKET AND MOVIE NIGHT:  FREE ADMISSION. DONATIONS ARE WELCOME.  The Market opens at 6PM. Movie (The Princess Bride) starts at 7:30pm. Look for a wide variety of food vendors, crafters, artists and farmers.  Bring a picnic blanket or chairs and a flashlight.  Details at olneyfarmersmarket.com

A REMINDER TO VENDORS AND CUSTOMERS:  OUR SMALL DUMPSTER IN THE REAR IS FOR MARKET TRASH ONLY.  SORRY, BUT WE DON’T HAVE THE CAPACITY TO HANDLE ANYTHING MORE.

FOOD SCRAPS: As part of a Montgomery County-sponsored pilot, Compost Cab will accept food scraps 
from our customers. Look for their tent in the rear of the Market. 
You may drop off:
  • Fruit and Vegetable scraps
  • Cooked Food
  • Meat, fish bones
  • Dairy (cheese and yogurt)
  • Eggshells
  • Bread & Grains
  • Coffee Grounds & Tea Leaves (remove all filters)

PARKING IS ALWAYS FREE! There are 2 main lots, one outside the professional buildings on 108; the other opposite the Thrift Shop on Prince Philip.
NO PETS PLEASE!

DONATIONS WELCOME!   Please consider a donation to our 501-C-3, Friends of the Olney Farmers Market.  The Market provides vouchers for fresh produce to those in need.  This season, we’ve given out more vouchers than ever before. It would be great to replenish our fund.  We also need funds to support our music program and our children's tent.  Checks can be mailed to PO Box 1787, Olney, MD 20830. We also accept donations at our Info tent.
