Please bring a small table and chair. We’ll provide as many tents as possible. If you have one, bring it! All items must be handmade or homemade under adult supervision. The Olney Fun Run and Walk! Meet at the Market at 11am, and get ready for some morning exercise. For more info, go to goca.org The Market will provide a reception tent on the grassy middle. MARK YOUR CALENDAR! SEPTEMBER 28: APPLE PIE COMPETITION We welcome Council member Dawn Luedtke as one of our judges. Our own James Ricciuti will emcee. Look for a variety of food vendors, crafters, artists and farmers, including Too Sweet (Kettle Corn), Pacha Mama, The Crepe Shoppe, The Stuffed Potato, DMV Empanadas, Louie’s Sweets, Tucker’s Pond, Thomas Evans Plants and Produce, and San Valentino Pizza. This is the date area non-profits will gather on the grass at the Market. They’ll be sharing the good work they do for our community and explaining how you can get involved. Each nonprofit will give you a raffle ticket for some great prizes. Plus, there will be free food samples. AT THE INFO BOOTH: This is where to get info about SNAP benefits. This Sunday, ask for Chris for help. We also have a Manna donations jar to help feed the hungry. And our new Olney Farmers and Artists Market tote bags are just $10. This season, we’ve given out more vouchers than ever before. It would be great to replenish our fund. We also need funds to support our music program and our children's tent.
