Help Save Sherwood's AG Program!

Students say it’s a devastating loss and a blow to their career goals! The Sherwood high school community is asking you to band together to help save the CASE program.  It’s a program that’s popular with students with a passion for farming.
Here are some of the CASE program benefits:
  • Provides hands-on, inquiry-based learning in agriculture and natural resources.
  • Encourages critical thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork through project-based learning.
  • Aligns with Common Core Math, ELA, and Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS).
  • Develops leadership, communication, and work-based learning skills that are essential for any career.
  • Engages students with real-world applications of STEM in agriculture, environmental science, and sustainability.
  • Integrates technology and engineering principles, preparing students for modern agricultural innovations.
  • Offers college credit opportunities at institutions like Rutgers University, Delaware Valley University, and Montgomery College.
  • Helps students earn industry-recognized certifications (IRCs), giving them a competitive edge in the workforce.
Over the years, students have sold the plants they grow at school at our Farmers Market.  The program is one of only 2 approved agricultural/natural resource programs in Maryland. Sherwood teacher Glenn Miller is asking you to send a message to the School Board now to reverse its decision.  Sherwood students are counting on you to speak up!
