Market Information

  • ​Days of Operation: The Olney Farmers and Artists Market (OFAM) Winter Market runs every Sunday between November 12, 2023 and May 5th, 2024.
  • Hours of Operation: The hours of the OFAM Winter Market are 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Vendors are expected to arrive by 8:45 AM, completely set up and ready by 9:00 AM, and sell for the entire time, unless it closes due to bad weather.
  • Location: The OFAM Winter Market is located at 2801 Olney-Sandy Spring Rd, at the corner of Prince Philip Drive and Route 108 in Olney, MD.
  • Snow Removal Policy: The hospital will NOT clear snow or ice from the market area. In the event of hazardous conditions, the market will close.
  • Pandemic Procedures: Market management will continue to monitor Covid cases in close coordination with Medstar Montgomery hospital. We’ll let you know of any changes in operation, if there’s a major resurgence of Covid.

  • If any OFAM-owned tents are available, vendors may rent one for $10 per day.

Application Information

  • Artists must be juried to participate in the Olney Farmers and Artist Market (OFAM). You need only submit your work for jurying in your first year with us, unless you start a significantly different style or medium.
  • Cost of $25.00 per space for the entire winter season.
  • First-time vendors must pay an additional $25 deposit
  • Vendors may pay by check, cash, money order, or cashier’s check. Check, Money Order, Cashier’s
  • Check can be made payable to “Olney Farmers and Artists Market”. Please include payment with your submitted application.
  • Once their application is accepted by OFAM, artists may participate for the remainder of the winter
  • season and need not reapply until the next season.
  • Vendors must reapply for the OFAM Spring and Summer season.
  • Applications may be received via email, mail or in person.

Terms and Conditions

  • Vendors are expected to arrive at the Olney Farmers and Artists Market (OFAM) by 8:45 AM, be completely set up and ready by 9:00 AM, and sell for the entire time, unless it closes due to bad weather.
  • Vendors shall conduct themselves in a professional manner.
  • Vendors are only allowed to sell items formally approved by OFAM.
  • Vendors must comply w/ all federal, state and local regulations.
  • Vendors will confine all material to assigned space.
  • Vendors will not approach a customer viewing another artist’s display.
  • Vendors will not use profanity or become physically abusive.
  • Vendors will be responsible for behavior of family and friends.
  • Vendors may not ‘hawk’ their wares (in an aggressive manner).
  • Vendors must provide garbage receptacles for any waste generated by their wares and remove their own garbage from the market. Receptacles provided by OFAM are intended for the use of our customers and guests.
  • No smoking or vaping.
  • Vendors whose products (scents and sounds) may have an impact beyond the confines of the booth
  • must be sensitive to impact on others and remove those products if asked to do so.
  • No pets are allowed.
  • More than three unexplained absences from OFAM will incur a $75.00 fine and possible loss of your space.
  • OFAM reserves the right to terminate this agreement at any time. All terms and conditions shall survive termination.
  • Each vendor will display a neat, legible sign identifying the business.
  • No tents are necessary for artists, and may sell out of their vehicles.​
